I was looking around for anything chamorrow or sablan on yahoo.com and i stumbled upon this site! I thought my family were the only sablans here in the states, save for maybe a couple relatives. Guess I was wrong, for the better, haha. You have very nice music, so I think I will have to pick up your CD when it comes out! :)

I was just surfin' the internet for all the local artists from Guam and the Northern Marianas. I came across your website and was very excited to know that Johnny was your dad. I met your dad years ago in Saipan. I also found out from him that I was somehow related to him. I'm originally from Saipan, but my grandfather was from Agat. His name was Vicente Guevara Pinaula. Your grandma Rita and my mom were second cousin from the Guevara family. I now reside in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I also have a cover band. Keep on making beautiful music and bless your heart. Hafa Adai, Kristina!
I just found his website of yours while checking to see if your dad had a website.
Your dad, Johnny, is my Second Cousin and also my Godbrother. My parents are his Godparents, Juan and Teresita Guevara (formerly of Ordot, Guam and now in Suisun City, CA).
I am so glad to know that we have another talented family member in the family. I always wondered what happened to you, because I knew about you since you were a little girl.
My brother is also a musician, but he plays hand made bamboo flutes. You can probably try and search his website by searching for "Jesse Kalu." His personal email address is kalu@sedona.net. Jesse's music is mostly meditating type music (sounds of nature), but he does do a little singing (not much). My brother lives and plays in Sedona, AZ and does concerts in several states and also in Jerusalem.
As I mentioned above, we are having a Guevara family reunion and also a fiesta at my sister's new home in Upper Marlborro, MD on July 14 of this year, and it would be great if you could join us there at least for that weekend. The following weekend, July 21st, my sister and the Chamorro Club in Maryland/Virginia and DC are holding a Guam Liberation Day Picnic in VA. If you think you and your friends can make it there, please email me back.
God bless you for everything that you do.
Love,
Auntie Antoinette

More than happy to know that Johnny is your father. He is a great man, and a good friend of mine. My future plan is to write chamorro songs to any open-hearted that can benefit from it (F.O.C.) Would you be interested? I have successfully produced & released 15 albums since 1980-90 with my latest 10 yrs collection 1980-90 in 2005. I am so interested to hear your materials & styles. Don't it make you feel proud to be another Katingting Sablan musically enlightened! Well, I am. In 1988, I had your dad as a special guest in my show at Pacific Gardenia Hotel in Saipan & he brought your grand-pa tan Ko'. He was a mighty words of encouragement and he had a great time. Please keep in touch and always pray for guidance and enlightenment. Enjoy and put to good use your gift from the Holy Spirit...MUSIC!!!...In the light always (JOHN 1;5)Sincerely...uncle Alex

Hi Kristy!
was googlin' around and found you. I'm amazed and very happy to see how you've grown, not only in years, but in your persuit for the arts...music especially. Your Guam family are all very proud of you and hopefully soon we'll get to watch you perform. Your cousins Jarred and Jeniki as well as all your other first cousins are musically inclined and one day you will all get to play together. Perhaps your dad can bring you out for a performance here. Your stylings remind me so much of Eva Cassidy -truly one of the greatest voices sent from heaven! So keep up the good work and send our love & kisses to your mom.
